We have sure been enjoying the nice weather here in MN lately. Both kids are lovin' the fact we have been able to play at the park, in the backyard, and ride their motorized toys almost every day. Carson always throws a fit when we bring him inside. He has quite the temper lately and is dealing with a cold and teething. He doesn't get when Nick or I am mad or say "no". He just tries over and over again and gives us a little smile. Both boys are now vaccinated for the H1N1. Nick and I are relieved to have it over with and hoping for a healthy winter. You would laugh at how anal I am about germs and wiping things down when we are in public. Better safe than sorry!

We spent some time in Waseca recently celebrating Cousin Daries' First Birthday. He had a Halloween-themed party and J.P. got his first shot at a pinata. Of course we had to buy Daries a motorized tractor so we could add to the family collection of children's vehicles. If any of them decide to run away from home they all have a quick way out now. Halloween was fun because J.P. was jazzed about the whole thing. He wanted to be an alligator and Carson was forced to be a big, yellow chicken. He didn't smile the entire time.

J.P. is enjoying having George as a neighbor. They have not sodded the back of their yard yet, so the boys love gettin' dirty with their trucks in the mud. Brigette and I have been able to swap out the kids every once in a while to run an errand, go to the doctor, or take the cat to the vet. It is nice to have that luxury. We are in full holiday mode here. We got the house and tree all decorated this last week and J.P. loves it. Ever since Halloween he has been waiting for more decorations to appear. He is already loving the "Christmas Carol" and "Night Before Christmas" books. Carson is curious about the ornaments so we will be waiting him carefully. All the new toys in the stores and on the commercials are hard for J.P. to watch go by. We are trying to teach him about the list (naughty vs. nice).

Cute story about Thanksgiving. In Sunday School they were asked to talk about what they were thankful for. J.P. said George, Henry, Zach (neighbor), and racing his John Deere. He is starting to understand praying and likes to fold his hands together. Carson just likes to dance to the music in church. Nick and his parents took the boys to Choo Choo Bob's Trainstore yesterday for a fun time playing with all the trains. They like watching the model trains go all around the store too.
