Happy Baptism Lucy

Meg, Lucy, and Emily
Farewell to the Gantzer twins
Snow in early October???????

Carson and Ellie Moehring (9 months)

Little Lucy Bauleke was baptized last weekend so the Bauleke and Ristau families packed Brandon and Jenny's house to celebrate. Good thing they finished their basement recently because there are plenty of us to fill the space. J.P. must be paying some attention at Sunday School because he was folding his hands during the baptism to pray. Meanwhile, Carson and George were in the crying room with the daddies. Carson sure doesn't seem to understand "no" as well as J.P. did at one. He is very persistent and goes right back to something if I tell him "no" or "stop". His favorite things to disobey with are turning the channels on the kid TV, pulling all the books and DVDs off the shelf, touching the cat food & water bowls, playing in the toilet, and unrolling the toilet paper roll. I know these all seem fun and harmless but he does it constantly. He is so quiet that I never catch him until half-way through the act. He still isn't talking much but started singing "EIEIO" recently.

J.P. had a fireman and his firetruck come to school this week. We also discussed fire safety at home and made a meeting spot in case of a fire at our house. I think he really gets it. Brigette, George, and Oliver came to visit for a few days. He is continuing to grow and now weighs 6 lbs. 1 oz. He sure sleeps alot, especially when you compare him to the crazy toddlers. The Peterson's move in to our neighborhood next week. J.P. was sad to see his twin girlfriends Camryn & Caitlyn move away, but just as excited to have Cousin George move in 1 1/2 blocks away.

We also had fun exploring Sever's Corn Maze with Landon and Preston Miller. The boys saw some exotic animals, rode the big yellow slide, ran through the hay bale maze, and swam in a giant pit of corn. Speaking of exotic animals, check out this video I took of J.P. explaining to me that he wants a pet alligator. It is a little lengthy but he is pretty cute.
