Riding Dave's motorcycle
Riding the train at Mall of America

Meeting Blue from Blue's Clues

Carson even got to wear his costume

We have been having a lot of fun lately. Carson does so well in his carseat so we are all over the place. Saturday we went down to Grandma Connie's for lunch. J.P. got to ride Dave's motorcycle with Daddy and wear his very own helmet. Then we went to Nickelodeon Universe at the MOA for rides and trick-or-treating. J.P. wore his Thomas costume and Carson had a clown outfit on. Poor Nick had to go on all the little rides and barely fits. J.P. held his arms up and screamed on the rollercoaster, just like the big kids at Valleyfair. There is a video below but you can hardly see anything because it goes so fast. Sunday the Bauleke boys came over and they tired eachother out fast. They love playing tackle football together.

This week J.P. discovered a neighbor boy that has the same love of monster trucks and GeoTraks Trains that he does. We went for a playdate and the kid had tons of plastic train tracks and a monster truck poster in his bedroom. Needless to say, J.P. didn't want to leave.

Yesterday was Carson's cardiologist checkup for his heart murmur. They have downgraded it from a moderate to small hold (a.ka. VSD murmur). This is good news since we initially thought it might be larger than J.P.'s was and he would need extra attention and possibly meds. But he looked great to the doctor and she doesn't need to see him until 3 years old. She was very pleased with his growth and felt like the murmur should close on it's own now.

J.P. is starting to really mimic our words so we are trying to be careful about what we say. He yelled "Damn it" at our cat the other day because he was eating the other cat's food. But he also says "Geez Louis" too which is hilarious. We have Carson's baptism this weekend so we're busy getting ready for that. I know everyone says this but it seems like yesterday we were putting the same outfit on J.P. and taking him to the church. Time flys when you're having fun (and sleep deprived)!
