This kept J.P. entertained and I had lots of help with the baby. My parents house was filled with 4 adults and 8 kids. Unfortunately, a squirrel got into the electrical cables at 7am Saturday morning and blew out the power. We didn't have TV for all these kids, no one was dressed, and breakfast wasn't even served yet. We bolted to McDonalds to feed the herd and let them loose in the playland. The rest of the weekend was filled with time at the park, hitting the church's Fall Festival, watching the marching bands and retrieving candy, visiting G&G Kuchenbecker's outdoor movie theatre, and ending with a blast at the fireworks after the Band Festival. J.P. was wiped out after all that fun. He slept in a make-shift bed at my parent's house and did well. He is way more flexible than we give him credit for.
Today we had ECFE (aka pre-preschool). He cried when I left the room for "mommy time" but they said he recovered within 5 minutes and played with his buddies. He loves having circle time and singing songs. He cracks me up with all his toddler commentary. The other day when they aerated our lawn he said "that guy made poopies in our yard". He found a cricket yesterday and we put it in a plastic container. He talked to it for a half hour before letting it go free. Have a good day!
