Early October kept us busy with t-ball and sports camp for J.P. Once again, he chases every ball down, even if he's in left field. You can't say he lacks energy on the field. Next is youth basketball, with Nick as the coach again. This will be interesting. Hope they don't call traveling fouls at this age. What will be worse is trying to contain Carson and keep him from joining in.

We went to Elko Speedway to celebrate my birthday and had a good time. The weather was awesome and the boys made it 3 hours. They loved watching the monster trucks and bus races (see the cool videos below). We even saw an RV launch itself off a jump and almost fall apart. The joy of having boys! Nick and I were able to go out to eat and shopping the night before so that was relaxing. BTW- Nick's Grandma Ruedy has been in the hospital at Rochester for a week so she needs all our prayers for a speedy recovery.

Carson is having a blast riding his scooter up and down the sidewalk every day. It is now his favorite thing to do. He even knows how to ride the 2-wheel Razor scooter now. Nick souped-up J.P.'s F150 truck so he loves speeding around in that and doing cookies in the driveway. Carson is now counting a lot and can sing the ABC song. J.P. learned about fire safety at school and even got to climb on a real fire truck. We set up a meeting spot in case of a fire and he demonstrated (with Carson shortly following) how to Stop, Drop, and Roll. Pretty cute!
