J.P. is successfully attending Preschool (2 days/wk) and Sunday School now. He is doing great and not worried about being separated at all. It helps they get snacks and go play outside. He is always excited to bring Carson, Daddy, and I an art project. He doesn't tell me much about what happens or what he learns, but does remember what he had for snack. They give him chocolate milk and he loves that. Since I last wrote he and Nick went to a real rodeo with G&G Kuchenbecker. He didn't quite get the whole calf-wrangling thing though. I did catch him tying up his stuffed animal's legs with my belt the next day. We also celebrated Grandma Sherrye's, Grandma Ruedy's, Aunt Lisa's, and Aunt Chelsea's birthdays recently so best wishes to all of them. Last weekend we went to watch the marching band parade in Waseca. J.P. was hooked immediately since they threw a ton of candy. Speaking of candy, he is also very impressed that I put up some Halloween decorations. I did it when he went to bed and he woke up amazed at all the pumpkin and ghosts stuff around the house. Today we put our annual "pumpkin man" out on the front porch.
Carson is busy too. He and I attend music class and ECFE together. He thinks the very eccentric music teacher is fascinating and just stares at her while she sings and plays instruments. He still isn't talking much but has added "num, num and all done" to his language. Both food oriented cause he is always snacking.
Last week was crazy because Nick was out of town for a few days and then I had nose surgery to correct a deviated septum. It is slowly healing but I felt like crap for a few days because of the anesthia. The bleeding stopped after 36 hours so the kids no longer have to see me with a gauze pad hanging under my nose. Sleeping is hard because I have to stay elevated. I have two plastic stints sewn to the inside of my nose and those will come out Thursday. Right now I feel like I have a horrible cold and can't blow my nose.
Thank goodness our family helped out. Aunt Krystal and Daries came for their first sleepover and to keep the kids occupied. I am supposed to not lift or bend for a week. Yah Right!!! Ever try to keep your house in decent shape and take care of two toddlers while not bending or lifting.
