My friend Rachel Lind's son Gavin who is 6 weeks older than Carson

Last week we had a lot of bugs in the house. Not literally, but internally. I had terrible vertigo on Monday morning when I woke up. I couldn't even get out of bed until 1pm because I was so nauseous and dizzy. Nick stayed with the kids, much to J.P.'s delight. I was still feeling icky through the weekend and am better now. Just to clarify (because I know some of you might get some ideas, I am definitely not pregnant). Carson had a terrible head cold all week and lot of messy sneezes were cleaned up and plenty of cuddling. He just wasn't himself and barely smiled all week. He is at the tail end of it now and back to his happy, content self. He is playing quietly under his playgym as I type this. J.P. caught a mild cold on Friday and practically lost his voice this weekend. Part of that was due to spending his entire Saturday with his crazy cousins and yelling/laughing the whole time.

We went to a carnival at his cousin's school and he loved playing the games to win prizes. Then we met up with everyone and G&G Bauleke for dinner at IHOP. The little boys were excited and had a hard time sitting still. Good thing was that they put us in a back room so we wouldn't scare off all the customers. Henry had his 6th birthday that day so we had him over for a sleepover. On Sunday G&G Kuchenbecker brought Daries up, along with Great-Grandma Connie, to play. J.P. loves pulling Grandpa Al to the side and getting him all to himself.

J.P. was thrilled with the nice weather and got outside to start excavating the rocks in his playground. His neighbor friends, Zach and Lauren, jumped the fence to play and it was like winter never happened and we were right back where we left off in the Fall.
Happy St. Patty's Day to everyone!
