It has been a while since our last post. We have been busy visiting with family and friends and mommy is too tired a lot of nights to get on the blog. Last week we had Grandpa and Grandma Bauleke up for a night and then Cousin George came for 3 nights. Needless to say, J.P. was busy entertaining. He and George had a blast playing with trains and jumping in the inflatable bouncer in our basement. We went to Nick Arnold's for a Superbowl Party and made it until halftime when the kids started to get restless. Uncle Ryan won the scoring game (the one with squares) so he was excited. George is fully entertained by J.P. and they played really well. George did get a good shot at J.P.'s face with a car, but all was forgiven and they moved on quickly. Another announcement, for the 4th consecutive summer we will be adding a baby to our ever-growing family (this will be the 13th grandchild in 14 years for the Bauleke's). Brandon and Jenny are expecting their third child in early August.
Last weekend we went to Waseca to watch Cousin Henry wrestle. J.P. was sad because he couldn't go out on the mat too. He is really into wrestling and tackling lately. Much to his delight, every afternoon I endure a tackling session on the ground. Carson was sick yesterday with the stomach flu but seems better today. It was the first time he's really been sick and we were a little nervous not knowing when the next spew was coming. But he went to sleep like always and slept through the night like an angel. He is proving to be a lot easier and layback than J.P. was as a baby. He can keep himself busy with toys, while J.P. needed (and got) a lot of our one-on-one attention. Carson also just plays in his crib when he wakes and doesn't scream for us to come get him.
J.P. is enjoying the melting snow and so glad to see the grass again. We had promised him a few things when the snow melted and summer came, so of course he is already asking about them. Little does he know we'll likely get dumped on again.
Hope everyone has a great Valentine's Day!
