We were spoiled once again with many gifts and lots of family time during the holidays. The boys spent 3 nights and 4 days in Waseca and did very well. They slept well and were in good spirits the entire time. It helps to be surrounded by all their cousins and grandparents who dote on them. Over the course of four days, we visited 3 great-grandparents and 2 grandparents houses. Carson did good getting passed around and is now eating rice cereal. He doesn't know what to think of it and gets disappointed that it isn't the bottle when we slide the bib on. His hair seems to be staying dark and we clipped it before the holidays because his bangs were getting so long. I think his eyes are going to be either green or hazel. Mine are green and Nick's are a mix of brown/green/and even a little yellow.
Our house filled up fast with plastic toys after Christmas. I think J.P. now has 25 monster trucks/tractors in all sizes. He did ask about more presents after we returned home. Our house is still decorated and the tree is still up so that makes him think there is more to come. Nick said that the Easter bunny was coming next and J.P. asked "Will he bring more presents?" Little does he know that he's already spoiled and even luckier to have tons of family close by to celebrate with. Some fun Christmas memories include Grandma Toni read "The Night Before Christmas", setting out some snacks for Santa next to the fire, J.P. sneaking M&Ms from Grandpa Al's secret stash, running in the snow with Uncle Jeff's puppy Bill, feeding Grandma Connie's goldfish way more than we should have, making popcorn with Grandpa Al, and watching his new movie "The Cat in the Hat".

Last weekend we visited the Great Train Expo at Canterbury Downs. J.P. went to this last year and was excited to go back. He loves watching model railroads and even got to ride a small pedal train. Grandpa Al bought him his new favorite Thomas book and he can't stop flipping through the pages. On Monday we visited Playworks with some of the cousins. Thankfully the older cousins were able to crawl through the maze with the little ones since I am terribly claustraphobic. Henry is coming over tonight to ring in the New Year and we plan on hitting the local mexican food restaurant. What a difference having kids makes on your New Year's plans.

We were extremely blessed in 2008 and hoping for many continued blessings in 2009. Please keep our Grandma Connie in your prayers as she is having some surgery this month and hoping to get back to good health soon.
