We had visitors and parties for four straight days last weekend. Needless to say we are all pooped and crabby. Thursday we had George, Brigette, and Ryan were here for a sleepover. Friday was more fun with George and then a wedding that night. Abby and Natalie babysat for us and the kids did really good. Saturday was a birthday party for J.P. in the morning and then the Zika's and Miller's came over after nap. Sean, Landon, and J.P. jumped in our inflatable jumper most of the night while the adults munched on crab cakes, crab legs, and enchiladas. What a mix! There was some wine and booze floating around too! That meant two nights that Nick and I were sipping spirits and staying up late. Sunday we were cleaning and recovering because I was having the neighbor ladies over. Whew!
Sunday night we had horrible weather and strong winds so Nick and I didn't sleep good. When Monday rolled around the kids were both sniffling and sneezing. Carson didn't sleep well for a few days. He is really struggling getting himself back to sleep when he wakes in the middle of his naps or at night. So we have been doing a lot of rocking lately. Today we went to Pump It Up. It is a room full of big inflatable bouncers in Eden Prairie. J.P. liked the freedom to run from one bouncer to the next, but he is still not feeling up to par. He is definitely understanding this whole Santa thing and we use the "Santa isn't bringing presents to naughty boys" line a lot around here. He falls for it every time.
Nick bought a cheap snowmobile last week so he has been excited about the weather we've had. He and Nick Arnold have been toolin' around the neighborhood now that Arnold only lives a few blocks away.
