What a crazy summer it has been. Not only did we move, but Nick has been traveling more and J.P.'s been very active in sports/activities. he weather didn't help since it was chilly in June, then scorching hot in July and part of August. We spent so many days at various pools this summer the kid's hair started to turn green. But now school is starting next week and I couldn't be more excited to get back on a normal schedule and get everyone out of the house for a change. No more sleeeping in and then destroying the house or being gone all day to come home to lots of chores and a tired family.

We had a great vacation at the end of July in Park Rapids. With a view like this how can you not. My brother has a cabin up there and a portion of my family made it for a 3-night stay. The boys had a blast swimming, fishing, tubing, and playing yard games with all their cousins. They were destined to find a Bigfoot lurking in the North Woods but had no such luck. It is exhausting trying to keep up with them and turns out Nick and I are more tired when we get home from a vacation. But it is worth the pain of the 4-hr drive and sleeping together for 3 nights.

| Fun at the Como Zoo with Grandpa and Grandma! |
Nick and Grandpa Al put together a cool soap box derby car for J.P. to race in the Shakopee Derby Days. He got second place (out of 2 in his age bracket!) and won $10. He was so excited to win and has been showing off his car to everyone who stops by our house.
