Wow, how things can change in a week. Last week I was taking pics of the boys rolling in the leaves and enjoying the warm weather. I think we even wore short sleeves last Wednesday. Now we have a foot of snow and the winter coats out. The boys were out by 9am on Saturday starting a snowman with Dad. Carson is a little hesitant but J.P. dived right in. I had to drive to Spooner, WI for Brigette's Surprise 30th birthday party. It was quite an adventure since the plows weren't out in full-force yet. But we made it in 3 hours. My Mom, Dad, and Molly Arnold kept me distracted during the white-knuckle driving. Plus, the anticipation of surprising Brigette, along with 40 of her friends/family, in the middle of the Wisconsin woods was keeping our energy high. Video below of the big moment!

Nick stayed home to babysit since his parents couldn't travel in the horrible weather. Good thing, because Carson had the stomach flu. The Miller Sisters, our childhood friends, came in to perform and were awesome. We danced and sang karoke until 2:00am. The road to the bar was never plowed so good thing we had 4-wheel drive.

J.P. is learning to write his letters and has about 10 down. He isn't too thrilled about the educational part of school and hassles me about practicing his workbook at home. But we have a reward system in place to keep him jazzed about it. He is excited about having 3 birthday parties this weekend. Cousin Daries on Friday in Waseca, his friend Evan's on Saturday at the jumper place, and his schoolmate Tanner on Sunday at a sports complex. What a social butterfly. He is also learning to say the "Our Father" prayer and is so cute reciting such big words. Funny basketball video below where he says "this hoop doesn't work" when he misses.

Carson has had an unhealthy Fall. Lots of fever, colds, bad tummy. So we are praying for a better Winter. He loves singing his favorite songs like Twinkle, Twinkle, Slippery Fish, ABC Song, and Row, Row Your Boat. He still likes gymnastics and going to ECFE, but gives me a hard time when we separate. He does so much better when his big brother is there.

Nick's Grandma is slowly getting better, but remains sore from her gout and doesn't have a lot of mobility. Her blood is not where the doctors want it, so we are praying she gets some energy back and her Leukemia doesn't act up again. She is in the Waseca Nursing Home.
